Soy participe de tu punto de vista. Nuestra isla sigue en el closet en muchas áreas. Se me hace difícil pensar en la incongruencia de nuestra cultura donde sobresalimos en deportes, con artistas, ingenieros buscados por la NASA, doctores, la lista es grande. Ahora, como país seguimos lacerándonos unos a otros.
No es el gringo, no son los venezolanos que vienen con los millones, no son los de afuera los que nos hunden en la miseria interior. Somos nosotros los que por alguna razón perdimos la identidad de protegernos unos a otros.

Se quejan de los que se van huyendo con tristeza de esta isla. Hasta Pedro Julio Serrano encontró mejor escenario de nuestra defensa desde afuera. Pero más triste es ver como Puerto Rico se pierde en las últimas filas del horizonte de la globalización .

Cuando leo sobre países que llegaron a tener más problemas que nosotros como lo es Colombia y todo lo que ha mejorado, siento envidia. Un país tan machista o más que Puerto Rico y ya goza de todos los beneficios de protección para las parejas gay. En el 2013 ya por orden de la corte se consume la legalización de los matrimonios del mismo sexo.

Cómo lo lograron? Con una visión de país; 10 universidades, bufetes de abogados y grupos de todas partes se unieron y presentaron una propuesta. Era muy fuerte el frente. Colombia aún con toda y su guerrilla perdieron la guerra de las creencias expiradas de nuestros antepasados.

Seguimos en el closet y creo que seguiremos.

Ni nuestro voto vale y mucho menos valen los que están sentados allá…..
