Aquell@s que atendemos a los derechos de inmigrantes estamos decepcionados con Barack Obama, quien el año pasado estableció un record de deportaciones de 400,000 personas. Tampoco pienso que personas LGBT desempleadas, o que hayan perdido sus casas durante la crisis hipotecaria fabricada por el mercado, tengan razón para estar alegres con la falta de soluciones y de liderato que el Presidente Obama ha demostrado. Personas LGBT pacifistas no tenemos interés alguno en adelantar la “causa” de entrar al ejército de EEUU. Constantemente hemos tenido que preguntarnos cómo impactar las noticias sobre nuestras comunidades con nuestras propias visiones. El actual formato bi-polar que nos brinda un reportaje “balanceado” nos invisibiliza constantemente, además de que empobrece y embrutece el debate público.
